The Overseas Fellowship of Nigerian Christians (OFNC) is a non-denominational Christian charity registered in England. OFNC has no political leaning but supports good governance, accountability, justice for all and the respect for humanity according to the teachings of Jesus christ.

It has branches in Bedford, Birmingham, Lancaster,Leiceister, Leeds, Lincoln, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Teesside and Southampton. The Fellowship's headquarters is located in Manchester.

Our meetings as a matter of policy, are designed NOT to coincide with Sunday morning services in churches. Every member is encouraged to have a strong and active participation in their local church. The various branches meet once, twice and even 3 times in some groups, every month as is suitable for each group.

FOCUS
The main focus of OFNC is the advancement of the Christian faith through prayers, worship, Bible study, talks, fellowship for all, and making humanitarian contributions towards the relief of pain and suffering in persons going through conditions of need, hardship and distress. We encourage our membership, young and old, to be firm believers in Jesus Christ through prayers, Bible studies, talks, conferences and other Christian activities, and to play active and constructive roles in their local churches, and in the development of their country of residence.

CHAIRMAN'S CLOSING REMARKS

The chairman, Dr Abel Adegoke, strongly advised each member to live a Christ-centred life by striving to please and honour God in all things, and to serve Him willingly, as Jesus Christ did. He pointed out the following four major issues for particular attention
WISDOM: Be wise, acquire knowledge and apply godly wisdom in all situations, fear God and not be foolish for only a fool says in his heart that there is no God. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN: Train your children and invest your time in them, and you will have peace in your home. Teach them how to deal with important life issues - to be wise, to think and apply wisdom, to conduct themslves, to respect and relate with other people in righteuosness, to serve God acceptably.
GIVING: It is to your benefit to give (Proverbs 11: 24-25). Give willingly to whosoever that is in need where you are in a position to. Feel happy to give, and give sacrificially.
OBEDIENCE: Children should honour their parents and benefit from parental advice, which most of the time is distilled from vast pool of life experiences. Unknown to most children of all generations, parents have better understanding of the real issues surrounding the question at hand. Only those who are patient and humble will reap the benefits. God commands us in the Bible to honour our parents and have a long life on earth.

SUPPORT OFNC MINISTRY
The OFNC is run essentially by unpaid Christ-loving volunteers. We are funded by voluntary givings, tithes and offerings of members and friends. We therefore value both your prayers and financial donations towards the work of the OFNC.
